The Marantz 2270 is a classic AM/FM receiver celebrated for its warm, musical character and robust build. This carefully preserved example benefits from newly fitted dial and function lamps, giving clear, even illumination, with smooth, quiet controls and clean switching that reflect thoughtful maintenance. As is common with vintage tuners, a small amount of FM drift may occur on first power-up and settles as the unit reaches operating temperature. Wired for 220VAC, it integrates neatly into UK and European mains arrangements with appropriate provision.
Delivering ample, confident power with that unmistakable Marantz tone, the 2270 partners well with both period and modern passive loudspeakers. It’s equally at home with vinyl, tape and line-level sources, bringing engaging detail, body and control to everyday listening and focused sessions alike. A timeless centrepiece, it adds authentic vintage sound and style to contemporary spaces without compromising usability.
Ideal for refined home listening rooms, boutique hospitality environments and relaxed studio lounges where characterful, high-quality playback is desired.
