The Soundcraft Vi4 Set is a compact, tour-ready digital mixing package comprising the Vi4 control surface, a dedicated Stagebox and a Local Rack, each supplied in its own flightcase. It delivers up to 96 input channels into 35 outputs, retaining Soundcraft’s acclaimed Vistonics II touch interface and FaderGlow for fast, confident operation in low-light conditions. The flexible bus architecture supports groups, auxes and matrices, with 24 assignable inserts and direct outs available on all inputs when the appropriate I/O is fitted.
Connectivity between the Local Rack and Stagebox is via approved Cat5 for runs up to 100 m (longer with Cat7). The Stagebox provides 48 mic/line inputs and 24 line outputs, plus GPIO and optical MADI. The Local Rack houses the DSP SCore engine alongside local analogue and AES I/O, monitor and talkback facilities. Crucially, audio continues to pass even if the surface is powered down, ensuring robust performance throughout a show.
