The Meyer Sound MPS-488HP is an 8-channel IntelligentDC power supply that delivers 48 V DC and balanced audio to compatible Meyer Sound loudspeakers over a single composite cable. Housed in a compact 1U rack chassis, it preserves the advantages of self-powered systems while simplifying installation and avoiding the need for conduits. Each output features microprocessor-controlled current limiting for reliable protection against shorts and surges, with front-panel LEDs providing instant confirmation of voltage presence and load status to speed up commissioning and fault-finding.
Flexible rear-panel link switches allow single, paired or grouped audio distribution across adjacent outputs, making it easy to route signals for small clusters or zones. The MPS-488HP is available with Phoenix 5-pin (MPS-488HPP) or EN3 5-pin (MPS-488HPE) connectors, supporting typical cable runs of 45–90 metres (model dependent) using 18 AWG with minimal SPL loss. Universal 100–240 V AC operation ensures global compatibility in touring and fixed installations alike.
