The Vari-Lite VL3500 Spot is a high-output 1200 W discharge moving head built for professional touring, theatre and broadcast. A versatile 10°–60° motorised zoom works with precise motorised focus to keep projections crisp across short and long throws. Full CMY colour mixing is complemented by a 7-position colour wheel and variable CTO, giving detailed control of colour temperature and palette. Creative beam shaping comes via two fully interchangeable gobo wheels (one rotating, one fixed) and a four-blade framing system, with each blade adjustable to ±30° on a module that rotates ±50° for accurate, repeatable shutter cuts.
Delivering up to 24,000 lumens from an MSR 1200 SA/DE Gold 2 lamp, the VL3500 Spot features smooth 0–100% mechanical dimming and an ultra-fast dual-blade strobe. Robust 540°/270° pan/tilt with three-phase stepper motors ensures precise, reliable positioning, while quiet active cooling supports operation from -29°C to +50°C. With 31-channel DMX control and flexible rigging orientation, it integrates easily into modern lighting systems.
