The Martin Viper Profile is a high-output moving head spot built for demanding professional stages. Driven by a 1000 W short-arc discharge lamp (Osram HTI 1000/PS Lok-it), it delivers a crisp 6000 K output with high CRI for faithful colour reproduction on camera and on stage. A full CMY colour mixing system is paired with variable CTO from 6000–3200 K and an 8-slot dichroic colour wheel, giving creative colour control with continuous rotation and random effects.
For beam shaping and texture, the Viper Profile provides interchangeable volumetric and texture effects wheels, a replaceable rotating 4-facet prism and a fast iris with pulsing. Smooth, selectable dimming curves combine with responsive strobe and blackout functions. Optics include a flexible 10–44° zoom and fast, accurate focus, while 16-bit pan (540°) and tilt (268°) with absolute position feedback ensure repeatable, precise repositioning. Control options cover 26/34-channel DMX modes, RDM support and firmware updates via USB or USB/DMX, making integration and maintenance straightforward.
