Wharfedale’s Reason-X218B is a high-output, dual 18-inch passive subwoofer engineered for modern touring and installation rigs. Its newly developed LF drivers feature substantial 4.0-inch (102.6 mm) voice coils, a rigid aluminium basket and a dual-layer spider with an upgraded adhesive to minimise harmonic distortion. A heavier 112 g cone and enlarged 31 mm voice-coil cavity help the cabinet deliver deeper low-frequency extension, while maintaining control at high levels. Rated at 2000 W AES (RMS), 4000 W programme and 8000 W peak, the Reason-X218B produces up to 148 dB Max SPL at 1 metre, with a wide working bandwidth and a nominal 6.2 Ω impedance for flexible system design.
Built for life on the road, the enclosure includes four side handles for easier handling, with a rugged construction that stands up to rental and install demands. Pair it with Reason-X tops or complementary arrays to create powerful, scalable systems for clubs, live venues, theatres and events.
