The SoundField ST450 MKII K3 is a compact, location-ready ambisonic microphone system supplied here as an ex‑demo unit with its external processor. Designed from extensive user feedback, the MKII features a redesigned microphone preamp with finer 3 dB gain steps, increased overall gain to 42 dB and a bargraph with peak‑hold. Refined electronics deliver lower noise, while a new approach to A-to-B format conversion improves stereo and 5.1 surround imaging accuracy. All I/O is on one side of the control unit for fast, tidy hookup in the field. The lightweight mic (290 g) can be operated up to 200 m from the 580 g control unit. Generate mono, stereo, M/S and surround up to 5.1 simultaneously from a single mic, with front‑panel headphone monitoring, metering and precise parameter control. This package is in very good condition and comes complete with case, cables, shock mount and Rycote windshield system. Ideal for broadcast, film, music and location sound where high‑fidelity stereo and surround capture are required.
