Its four ultra low-noise, studio-grade condenser capsules run on 48 V phantom power and output A‑format via a short breakout to four balanced XLRs. Record to any four-channel recorder with matched gain, then decode in post with the SurroundZone plug‑in to B‑format for mono, stereo, surround (5.1/7.1) and height-enabled immersive formats.
With a 40 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, 12 dBA equivalent noise and 130 dB max SPL, the SPS200 delivers pristine, phase-coherent capture of dialogue, atmospheres and complex soundfields, all in a lightweight 220 g body that rigs easily on set or on location. Kit 2 adds essential field accessories: a SoundField Rycote windshield kit for reliable outdoor protection, a robust PFC200 Pelicase for transport, a 5 m NN4001 microphone cable and the MSA‑200 microphone mount to get you recording quickly and confidently.
