The SoundField DSF-1 MK2 Microphone System combines patented SoundField technology with precision electronics for exceptional capture and control. Comprising the DSF-1 microphone and a rackmount control unit, it is designed for concert and broadcast applications, and permanent installs in venues such as concert halls and opera houses. The system provides B-Format outputs alongside a fully adjustable stereo output for recording and headphone monitoring. From the processor you can control polar pattern, width, tilt and rotation, enabling rapid on-site optimisation or post workflows when pairing B‑Format recordings with compatible software.
Supporting sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz with external Word Clock sync, the DSF-1 MK2 features AES/EBU outputs, comprehensive metering, switchable high‑pass filters and an integrated limiter to guard against unexpected peaks. Performance spec includes a 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency range (±3 dB), 13 dBA equivalent noise and a maximum SPL of 145 dB. A 20 m LEMO 12‑pin cable is supplied, with runs up to 250 m supported to the control unit for flexible placement.
