The Sound Projects SP18E is a compact, self-powered high-SPL subwoofer designed to deliver a rock-solid low-frequency foundation. Its rugged, multi-layer birch ply cabinet is heavily braced and finished with a durable Nano Armor polyurethane coating, corner protection and multiple slide bars to aid transport and locked stacking. At its core is a lightweight 18-inch neodymium driver with a 4-inch voice coil, driven by an ultra-light 2500 W CCD amplifier, achieving exceptional performance at just 58 kg. Cabinet dimensions are optimised for international truck packs, with ergonomic grip points for efficient load-ins. A recessed switch selects the Sound Projects standard low-pass filter (60 Hz, 24 dB Butterworth) or free external low-pass, while SALC (Single Audio-logic Level Control) actively maintains tonal balance and safeguards the driver against over-excursion and overheating. Pole mounting is possible either upright or flat, enhancing deployment flexibility. Ideal for touring, live music venues and install applications needing authoritative, controlled sub-bass.
