The Solton aart SUB 18A is a robust active subwoofer engineered to deliver tight, authoritative low-end for portable sound systems and fixed installations. Its long‑excursion 18-inch driver with a 4-inch voice coil is housed in a low‑distortion, bass reflex enclosure built from durable 15 mm birch plywood, ensuring punchy, accurate bass and touring-grade reliability. An efficient Class D amplifier provides 800 W continuous power (2400 W peak), producing up to 134 dB peak SPL with ample headroom for demanding events. Frequency response is well controlled and musical, spanning 38–200 Hz (±3 dB) and extending to 33–250 Hz (‑10 dB), supported by 99 dB sensitivity for strong output from modest input levels. System setup is simple with a variable low‑pass crossover, phase switch, level control and an active limiter for protection. Connectivity includes two XLR/6.35 mm combo inputs and two XLR thru outputs for straightforward system expansion. An integrated M20 pole mount makes pairing with MF/HF tops easy. Ideal for DJs, live bands, corporate AV and rental fleets seeking deep, punchy bass with dependable performance.
