The Roland V-800HD is a professional multi-format video switcher designed for reliable live production and events. It offers eight channels and sixteen inputs, including 4x SDI, 4x composite, 4x DVI-I/HDMI and 4x RGB/component, plus six flexible outputs (2x SDI, 2x DVI-I/HDMI, RGB/component and composite). With 4:4:4, 10‑bit internal processing, it delivers clean, accurate colour and low-latency switching across mixed formats and resolutions.
A single M/E with chroma and luminance keying, picture-in-picture and a dedicated DSK enable polished compositions and graphics. Integrated frame synchronisers and scalers on every input ensure seamless transitions between disparate sources, while SDI support up to 3G covers 1080p workflows. Practical touches include input status LEDs, HDCP support where appropriate, live access to still-image sources, ten assignable preset buttons and a multiview output with selectable Y, Cr, Cb and RGB modes for confident monitoring.
