The Roland V-800HD is a professional multi-format video switcher designed for live events and high-end presentation environments. It offers 8 channels and 16 inputs, including 4x SDI, 4x Composite, 4x DVI/HDMI and 4x RGB/Component, plus 6 outputs (2x SDI, 2x DVI/HDMI, RGB/Component and Composite) for flexible routing. With 10‑bit 4:4:4 internal processing, built-in frame synchronisers and scalers on every input, and support for 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDCP, it delivers clean, colour-accurate switching across mixed formats and resolutions.
The V-800HD provides a 1 M/E architecture with keying, picture-in-picture and DSK, along with a still-store and clear input status indication. A multi-view output helps operators monitor sources efficiently, with selectable Y, Cr, Cb and RGB modes. User-assignable crosspoints streamline complex show files and quick changes on site. Supplied with a protective case, it’s well suited to touring and portable rigs.
