Each microphone features a hand-selected, gold-sputtered 1/2-inch cardioid capsule, delivering outstanding transient detail, airy top end and precise imaging. With a wide 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, 14 dBA self-noise and the ability to handle up to 135 dB SPL, the TF-5s are equally at home on delicate acoustic sources and demanding overhead applications. The compact, matte-black metal bodies are scratch-resistant and discreet for unobtrusive placement on stage or in the studio. Powered via standard 48 V phantom, they integrate seamlessly with professional preamps and mixers. Supplied as a true matched pair, the set includes two stand clips, two foam windshields and Rode’s SB20 stereo bar for accurate ORTF, XY or spaced techniques.
