The Point Source Audio CX2-8D is a dual-element headset microphone engineered for reliability and flexibility in demanding live environments. It pairs an omnidirectional capsule with a cardioid capsule so you can tailor pickup to the room: choose the natural, open character of the omni in controlled spaces, switch to the cardioid when you need stronger rejection and feedback resistance, or blend the two to taste. Each element handles up to 136 dB SPL, while a 360° adjustable boom and highly formable arm make precise, repeatable placement quick and secure. The lightweight neckband is comfortable for long wear and can be configured left or right without re-rigging. For mission-critical redundancy, the CX2-8D features two discrete X-Connector terminations, allowing seamless failsafe operation with popular wireless beltpacks. Finished in discreet beige for low visual impact, it delivers smooth, intelligible vocal reproduction for theatre, musicals, broadcast, corporate presentations, worship and live events where clarity and uptime are essential.
