The Peavey SP2 is a proven passive 2‑way point‑source loudspeaker built for real‑world gigs. It pairs a powerful 15-inch Peavey Black Widow 1508-8 HE SF woofer with the RX22 compression driver for solid low‑end punch and clear, controlled highs. Rated at 500 W continuous (1,000 W programme, 2,000 W peak) at 8 ohms, it delivers strong headroom with a stated peak SPL up to 131 dB. Coverage is a balanced 90° horizontal by 40° vertical, with a crossover at 1.8 kHz for smooth transition between drivers. The enclosure is a robust trapezoidal wooden cabinet with an integrated 35 mm pole mount, making it at home on stands or in stacks. Connections include industry‑standard Speakon/twist‑lock and 1/4-inch jack sockets for flexibility on stage. With a frequency response of 54 Hz–17 kHz (±3 dB), sensitivity of 98 dB (2.83 V/1 m), and practical dimensions around 82 × 52 × 58 cm, the SP2 is a dependable full‑range choice for bands, DJs, rehearsals and events. Ideal as a front‑of‑house top or for use with subs in larger systems.
