The Panasonic AG-HMX100 is a compact, all-in-one live production switcher combining HD/SD video mixing, an integrated audio mixer, frame synchronisers and onboard effects. With versatile connectivity, it offers 4x SDI (HD/SD), 2x HDMI, 2x composite and 1x DVI-I inputs, plus genlock and reference for rock-solid sync. Outputs include SDI PGM, PVW, AUX and multiview, alongside dual DVI-D for programme and multiview monitoring. An integrated LCD simplifies setup and confidence checking.
Audio is well covered: mix sources via 8x XLR, 4x SDI-embedded, 2x HDMI, mic and RCA aux inputs, with outputs on XLR, SDI, RCA, headphones and dedicated faders for sources, AUX, mic and master. The familiar T-bar, Auto Take and DSK enable smooth transitions, with still, strobe, colour and video effects available. Professional features such as RS-232C control, tally, 12-bit internal processing and 4:2:2:4 digital component handling ensure dependable results. 3D workflows are supported via paired SDI.
