The Martin Audio W8LMD is a compact, wide-dispersion downfill module designed to partner W8LM arrays or operate as a stand-alone short to medium-throw element up to around 30 metres. It delivers consistent 120° horizontal coverage with 20° vertical dispersion, ensuring clear, even sound at the front rows where main arrays lose vertical reach. A dedicated LF/MF section and a separate HF section can be run passive or bi-amped, while an amplitude shading switch helps fine-tune array balance and tonal consistency. With a frequency response of 60 Hz–18 kHz and power handling of 400 W AES (LF/MF) plus 75 W AES (HF), the W8LMD achieves clean output up to 130 dB peak. Deployment is flexible: use singly or in pairs on a tripod, or integrate seamlessly with Martin Audio subwoofers such as WMX, WLX, WSXa, WS2A and WS218 to build scalable systems. Ideal as a versatile downfill, front-fill or compact short-throw solution. Perfect for theatres, corporate events, houses of worship and live music requiring wide, intelligible coverage.
