The MA Lighting NPU (Network Processing Unit) centralises processing within an MA lighting network, adding 4,096 parameters with the same performance and reliability as grandMA2 consoles. Acting as the link between Ethernet-based control and DMX, it converts network data to DMX across eight independent 5‑pin ports, each configurable as input or output. A clear 7-inch touchscreen streamlines setup and monitoring, so you can check status and adjust settings quickly. Designed for scalability and redundancy, multiple grandMA2 consoles can share NPUs to distribute processing load across large rigs, ensuring responsive control for complex productions. Robust connectivity includes etherCON for secure networking, powerCON in and out for power linking, and three USB 2.0 ports for peripherals and service tasks. Use the NPU as a central parameter expander or alongside MA xPort nodes for distributed DMX wherever you need it.
