The Glensound DARK1616 is a professional 1U Dante/AES67 audio interface providing 16 channels to and from the network. It offers flexible I/O with 16 analogue line inputs and 16 analogue line outputs on DB25 connectors (AES59/Tascam standard), plus 8 AES3 inputs and 8 AES3 outputs (16 channels each way) on DB25. The AES3 inputs include sample rate conversion up to 192 kHz, and when a valid AES3 signal is present it automatically takes priority over the corresponding analogue input pair. All 16 network receive channels are available simultaneously on both analogue and AES3 outputs. Built for reliability, DARK1616 features redundant Dante networking with Primary and Secondary copper RJ45 ports and additional SFP slots for fibre connectivity. Dual redundant internal PSUs with separate IEC inlets, clear status indicators for power and network, and GPO/alarm outputs for fault signalling ensure resilient operation in mission-critical workflows. This robust, broadcast-grade unit is ideal for integrating multiple analogue and digital sources into Dante-based systems for live production, broadcast, OB vehicles, studios and fixed installations.
