The EAW JFL118 is a compact, passive 18-inch subwoofer designed to deliver powerful, controlled low-frequency reinforcement for portable PA and installed sound systems. Its bass-reflex architecture provides solid, musical sub-bass with a stated frequency response of 30–150 Hz, integrating cleanly with JFL tops and other full-range loudspeakers. With 94 dB sensitivity (1 W/1 m), 800 W AES power handling at 8 ohms and a calculated 129 dB peak (123 dB continuous) output in free field, it offers dependable headroom for demanding live events and professional venues.
Operating in single-amp (LF) mode, the JFL118 is intended for use with external DSP using a 1-way filter to ensure correct protection and voicing. Its rugged build is suited to both touring and fixed installations, with compatibility for optional flying accessories where flown or arrayed sub deployment is required.
