The BSS Soundweb London BLU-160 is a robust, open-architecture DSP for high-end installed audio. Four card slots let you tailor the I/O to your project with analogue and digital options, including AEC and telephone hybrid modules, each providing four channels. At the heart of the system is BLU Link, a 256-channel, low-latency, fault-tolerant digital audio bus running over standard Cat5e up to 100 metres between devices, with optional fibre conversion for distances beyond 40 km. Configuration is handled in HiQnet London Architect via intuitive drag-and-drop design and a comprehensive library of processing and logic objects.
Front-panel LEDs and display offer quick access to device identity, status and metering without a computer. Integration is streamlined with 12 control inputs and 6 logic outputs for GPIO-based control. Flexible clocking and sync cover AES/EBU and S/PDIF workflows, while per-channel phantom power and gain options on compatible cards simplify input management. Ideal for scalable, networked audio in theatres, conference centres, hospitality and multi-zone venues.
