Blackmagic Design’s Studio Converter is a 10G Ethernet camera base station designed for seamless integration with the Studio Camera 4K Pro and 4K Pro G2. It consolidates camera video, programme return, timecode, reference, tally, talkback and camera control over a single 10G Ethernet cable, while powering the camera via PoE for a clean, efficient setup without a mains outlet at the camera position. In the control room, all signals are available as SDI, supporting workflows up to 12G-SDI. Connectivity includes 2x SDI inputs for return feeds, 2x SDI outputs and an SDI monitor out, plus BNC timecode I/O and reference. For comms and monitoring, it features talkback, tally, a headphone jack, integrated speaker and a 2.2-inch LCD for quick visual checks. The half-rack, 1U design fits two units side by side on a Blackmagic Universal Rack Shelf, with an integrated PSU.
