The Allen & Heath SQ-5 is a compact 96kHz digital mixer built around powerful FPGA processing, delivering pristine sound quality and ultra-low latency. It offers 48 input channels with flexible routing, 17 motorised faders across 6 layers, and a bright 7-inch capacitive touchscreen for fast, hands-on control. Eight stereo FX engines with dedicated returns, 12 stereo mixes plus LR, and 3 stereo matrix busses provide comprehensive mixing and monitor options. Connectivity is extensive: SLink for remote audio and expansion, a 64-channel I/O port for audio networking, 32x32 USB audio interface for multitrack recording/playback, SQ-Drive for direct USB recording, and AES digital output. Workflow is enhanced with assignable SoftKeys, channel LCDs, chromatic metering, dedicated hardware controls and integrated illumination. The SQ-5 can be rack-mounted for touring or installation and integrates seamlessly with DX stageboxes. An optional road case is available on request. Ideal for corporate events, houses of worship, live music, theatre and hybrid live/recording setups.
