The MA Lighting MA NPU (Network Processing Unit) concentrates processing power across your MA network, delivering the same performance architecture as grandMA2 consoles with 4,096 parameters on board. Acting as the bridge between Ethernet and DMX, it converts network data to DMX across eight independent 5‑pin XLR ports, each configurable as an input or output for flexible system design. An integrated 7-inch touchscreen provides quick access to status, universe routing and diagnostics, while etherCON networking, powerCON in/out, and three USB 2.0 ports support reliable touring and install workflows.
Multiple grandMA2 consoles can share MA NPUs to expand up to 65,536 parameters (256 DMX universes) with centralised processing and built-in redundancy strategies—no external mergers required. Ideal for decentralised DMX networks, the MA NPU enables robust, scalable control for large lighting rigs in live events, theatre and fixed installations.
