The MA Lighting MA NPU (Network Processing Unit) brings powerful, centralised processing to MA networks, delivering the same performance architecture as grandMA2 consoles with 4,096 parameters on board. Acting as the gateway between Ethernet and DMX, it converts network data to DMX across eight independent 5‑pin XLR ports, each freely configurable as input or output for maximum design flexibility. An integrated 7-inch touchscreen offers fast access to status, universe routing and diagnostics, while rugged etherCON networking, powerCON in/out and three USB 2.0 ports support dependable touring and installation workflows.
Multiple grandMA2 consoles can share MA NPUs to scale systems up to 65,536 parameters (256 DMX universes), with centralised processing and built‑in redundancy to keep shows running without external mergers. Ideal for decentralised DMX networks, the MA NPU enables robust, low‑latency distribution for large lighting rigs in live events, theatre, broadcast and fixed installations.
