The Alcons LR16 is an active 2-way line-source loudspeaker designed for precision coverage and exceptional intelligibility in both portable and installed systems. Featuring the RBN601 pro-ribbon driver on a morpher wave-guide with 92% frontal radiation, it delivers a true cylindrical wavefront for seamless, real 90-degree horizontal dispersion. Its fast transient response ensures outstanding clarity and throw, even at high output levels. The compact enclosure and accurate, quick-rigging hardware support both flown and ground-stacked arrays, making deployment efficient for a wide range of venues.
Engineered for versatility, the LR16 scales from single-cabinet use to large-format arrays, aided by a rotatable wave-guide for optimised coverage. With a lowest usable frequency of 51 Hz, it is effectively full-range for many applications. For extended low end, pair with the LR16B bass module or BF362 sub. SIS pre-wiring provides cable/connector compensation with Alcons ALC amplifiers, which also enable inaudible system protection via SDP processing. Ideal as a main PA for theatre, A/V and live sound, or as front-, in- or side-fill in larger systems.
