The MA Lighting NPU (Network Processing Unit) centralises processing for grandMA2 systems, adding 4,096 parameters with the same calculation performance as the consoles. It bridges Ethernet and DMX for decentralised show networks, converting network data to DMX with eight individually configurable 5‑pin XLR ports that can be set as inputs or outputs. A clear 7-inch touchscreen provides fast access to status, network diagnostics and configuration, while three USB 2.0 ports simplify show file management and service tasks. Connectivity is tour-ready with etherCON and powerCON in/out, and multiple NPUs can be shared across a multi-console network for seamless redundancy without additional merger hardware. Scale confidently to large productions, with a grandMA2 system capable of up to 65,536 parameters when multiple NPUs are online.
