The REBEAM Dome Optics 175° lens is a telecentric fixed fulldome optic engineered for projectors using 0.76" 3LCD panels. With a 3.5 mm focal length, bright F2.2 aperture and manual focus, it delivers immersive dome coverage with a maximum vertical projection angle of 175°. Designed for professional dome installations, it supports uniform, high-detail imagery across complete hemispherical surfaces.
Optical performance is tuned for clarity and consistency: MTF reaches 66% at centre and 60% at edge at 67 lp/mm, lateral chromatic shift is kept under 4 µm (R–G) and under 2 µm (B–G), and F-Theta distortion is within –1%. The image circle is 10.8 mm, and the focus range spans from 600 mm to infinity for flexible positioning. A robust metal–glass construction, measuring up to 122 × 285 mm, ensures reliable operation in demanding, long‑term installations.
As with all extreme wide-angle dome optics, precise alignment, projector-specific calibration and warping are required to achieve correct geometry and optimal results. Ideal for planetariums, science centres, museums and other immersive environments using curved projection surfaces.
