Using precision aperture control and low‑flare glass, it suppresses stray light to deliver deeper blacks, cleaner shadow detail and stronger ANSI contrast. By design it trades a portion of peak brightness for markedly improved dark‑scene fidelity, making it ideal where black level and image depth are critical.
Fully integrated with Christie’s ILS4 automation, the lens offers motorised zoom, focus and lens shift, with automatic lens recognition and repeatable position memory for rapid changeovers and precise recall. The 2.71–3.89:1 throw ratio supports longer projection distances, enabling flexible projector placement when screen size, throw constraints or scenic elements require additional space. For venues susceptible to veiling glare, compatible Christie Griffyn models can be fitted with an optional 185 mm hood extension to further mitigate flare.
