The Barco EX Event Master R9004776 is a modular expansion chassis designed to extend the input, output and processing capacity of Event Master systems such as E2, S3 and EX. This unpopulated frame accepts up to two cards in any combination of input, output or VPU, allowing flexible builds to suit evolving show requirements and workflows. When equipped, the EX delivers powerful 4K scaling at up to 60 Hz, adding switching and processing performance comparable to multiple standalone scalers in a compact footprint. EX frames can be linked to create larger matrices, or used to distribute I/O where it’s needed, with the ability to position endpoints at distances up to 300 metres from the main processor for streamlined system layouts. Its modular design makes servicing and future upgrades straightforward, while maintaining the reliability and responsiveness demanded by live production.
