Barco’s Event Master Ex is a compact 4K60p scaler and expansion chassis designed to add significant I/O capacity and switching power to Event Master systems. Link it with E2 or S3‑4K processors to extend inputs and outputs where they’re needed, simplifying cabling while maintaining top-tier image processing. With the same processing power as four ImagePRO units, a single Ex can deliver a 4x4 HD scaling matrix, or pair two Ex units for an 8x8 matrix. The Ex shares modular I/O cards and software with the wider Event Master family, enabling flexible configurations and straightforward field service. It can extend I/Os up to 100 metres and replace multiple fibre extenders with a single cable plus an Ex at the far end. Each E2 link supports up to eight Ex chassis, and each S3‑4K link supports up to four, enabling large-format systems without another full-sized processor. Supplied as chassis only with no I/O cards, and includes a robust flight case for touring protection. Ideal for live events, conferences and broadcast environments needing scalable, low‑latency 4K signal management.
