The Allen & Heath SQ-5 is a compact 48-channel digital mixer built around 96 kHz FPGA processing for pristine sound and ultra-low latency. Its 17 motorised faders across six layers provide quick access to any source, guided by a bright 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, dedicated rotary encoders and customisable SoftKeys. With 12 stereo mixes plus LR, a 3-bus stereo matrix and eight stereo FX engines with dedicated returns, it’s ready for complex monitor and FOH duties. DEEP processing lets you run premium plug-in models directly on channels without extra latency or setup overhead.
Connectivity supports modern workflows: SLink for remote audio and stageboxes, a 64-channel I/O card slot for Dante or Waves, and a 32×32 USB interface for multitrack recording and playback. SQ-Drive enables direct stereo or multitrack capture to USB, while AES output, chromatic metering, channel LCDs and LED fader illumination streamline operation. Rack-mountable in a standard 19-inch rack, the SQ-5 is an agile choice for touring, fixed installs, houses of worship and corporate events.
