Its 2-way active design features dual 8-inch neodymium LF drivers in a bass-reflex enclosure and a 3-inch neodymium compression driver on a DOSC waveguide, delivering a smooth, coherent wavefront and a wide 110° horizontal dispersion without unwanted side lobes. Built from premium Baltic birch plywood with robust, certified rigging, KARA arrays can be flown up to 24 elements per hang for scalable solutions in touring or fixed installations. When driven by L-Acoustics LA8 amplified controllers, factory presets provide linearisation, protection and optimisation for wideband mains, high-pass applications such as downfill, or extended low-frequency operation with SB18 support.
