The PL-Audio Big Banana is a compact, high-output line array element designed for dependable performance in demanding touring and outdoor environments. Delivering up to 137 dB maximum SPL with 1200 W RMS / 2400 W peak power handling at 4 ohms, it provides confident headroom for live music, corporate events and fixed installations. A wide 110° horizontal by 30° vertical dispersion ensures even coverage, while the 70 Hz–21 kHz frequency range supports articulate vocals and detailed musical reproduction. Built from robust multiplex wood, the enclosure features a powder-coated grille with optional acoustic foam or front grille finish, plus weather-protective impregnation and a scratch- and waterproof PU coating available in all RAL colours. Practical deployment is supported by dual 4‑pole Speakon connectors, 6 x M10 and 2 x M8 rigging points, and a portable 28 kg form factor measuring 400 x 775 x 320 mm. Scalable and durable, the Big Banana is ideal for creating coherent arrays across indoor venues and outdoor stages where clarity, coverage and weather resistance are critical.
