Blackmagic Design’s Ultimatte 12 is a real‑time hardware keyer designed for uncompromising chroma compositing in live broadcast, production and virtual studio environments. With 12G‑SDI, it supports SD, HD and UHD/4K up to 2160p60 with 10‑bit processing and colour management across Rec. 601, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 workflows. Multiple SDI inputs and loop‑through outputs with full resync ensure dependable integration within complex signal paths. Onboard operation is fast and clear thanks to a bright 2.2-inch colour display, while Ethernet enables high‑speed remote control and still image loading. Configuration and firmware are handled via USB‑C or Ethernet using Mac or Windows utilities. Built for the rigours of professional use, Ultimatte 12 fits a compact 1RU chassis and includes dual universal AC power supplies for redundancy. Supplied in a protective case with a connection cable, it is ready for deployment in touring racks, flypacks and studio installs.
