On the surface, 16+1 motorised faders across six layers, a bright 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, channel LCDs, dedicated processing controls and assignable SoftKeys keep operation quick and intuitive. Deep onboard processing includes per‑channel PEQ, GEQ, gate, compressor and delay, eight stereo FX engines with dedicated returns, automatic mic mixing and a real‑time analyser for confident decision‑making.
Connectivity is extensive: 16 local XLR mic preamps, stereo line inputs, AES digital output and dedicated talkback, plus SLink for remote stageboxes (dSnake/DX/GigaACE). A 64x64 I/O card slot enables Dante or Waves integration, while the 32x32 USB interface and SQ‑Drive support multitrack recording and direct USB media capture. Robust, rack‑mountable construction makes SQ‑5 ready for touring, rental, installation and broadcast.
