UK Christmas Light Trails 2022

Yes it’s that time of the year and Christmas is upon us once again, here at Stage Experts we thought it would be a good way to end our blog for 2022 by discussing the Christmas Light trails which have been springing up nationwide and are now a very popular alternative to the traditional Santa’s Grotto for many.

Over the past decade these events have grown brighter with more and more technology being used due to this sector becoming progressively competitive, they often include themed illuminations (shaped as creatures, animals and mystical landscapes), lasers, fairy lights and atmospheric lighting through forests, gardens and woodlands belonging to country halls and houses across the UK. 

Audio is also being used to add to the atmosphere and create a space that people can lose themselves in an almost fantasy like world, and it has made us wonder how far this can go and will it create more opportunities within the Audio Visual industry? We can imagine in future the trails will have more high-end Lighting and Audio being used, LED and maybe even Drones lighting the skies. It will be very interesting to see how this progresses and certainly will be an opportunity for business in 2023 and beyond.
